hypocrisy goes large

Has the world gone mad?

I ask myself this question more and more.

Are we drinking the same contaminated water and milk? Are we all breathing-in some invisible chemical that denies us truth-telling, honesty, and common sense? Has social media addled our brains?

Newspapers have reported that during a Rwandan taxi ride, a Tory Baroness called her fellow passenger - a Lib Dem Peer of Indian heritage - ‘Lord Poppadom.’ A story you couldn’t make up if you tried. Prince Andrew made the front pages. Gone fully prawn crackers, the poor man. Shunned by teenage girls, ostracised by the Royals and desperate for affection, he’s been hanging out with an alleged spy from China. Oh to have been a fly on the foreign office wall, hearing the slap of foreheads and racial expletives.

And, why is a convicted terrorist suing a pub in Amersham? For the crime of being called The Saracen’s Head of course. In 500 years no one has claimed hurt over a name apparently used for Arabs or Muslims during the Crusades. This concerned man wants a very reasonable £1,850 because he feels ‘shocked’ and is ‘deeply offended’ by the pub’s depiction of Arabs as ‘brown-skinned’ and ‘bearded.’

Reported somewhere in tiny writing, the Swiss have just outlawed the terror group Hizbollah. A vote that stirred up a Cuckoo’s nest of MPs, their feathers flying over a perceived threat to their country’s claim of neutrality. Shades of the Irish who in 1945 expressed their condolences to Germany on the death of Hitler. Now the current Taoiseach is attempting to re-define Genocide, bending and tucking it into a better fit for his government’s racially motivated purposes.

I would bet my last Toblerone that Switzerland, a country sitting on unclaimed Jewish money, art and jewellery since WW2, felt uncomfortably aware that Hizbollah are also adept at acquiring funds not intended for them. Meanwhile, in Hampstead I overheard a man describe the busy line in Barclays Bank as being filled with too many Israelites. How very biblical. On a par with being called colonial, apartheid, Zionist, nazis by a bunch of pro Pali students speaking in one tongue. Each of them connected to the same Qatari and Iranian mothership currently circling planet Earth.

Which brings me to The British Medical Association, now investigating its president over anti-semitic posts she allegedly made after the October 7th attack. Think about that … a woman in a caring profession, a doctor, representing 190,000 other doctors, openly admiring fanatical terrorists. Condoning atrocities that included shackling young Israeli children together, and then burning them alive. Give the reality of it a moment to really sink in. This collective insanity continues in the USA, where a five year old school child might loose the use of his legs after being shot for Gaza by a lunatic gunman.

As the Syrians uncover mass graves of Presidentially sanctioned murder, numbered in the many thousands, Assad is welcomed into the bosom of Russian luxury. Here in London and elsewhere, the hate marches continue. The participants don’t care about turmoil in the Middle East, they show no interest in the sex slaves of Sudan, the Uyghurs dying in Chinese labour camps, the Kurds being murdered by Erdogan’s Turkish troops, or Ukrainians now being killed by North Korean soldiers. Do they care about 8,000 Christians murdered by Jihadists in Nigeria? Nope. Their rhetoric of hate has a single target … the Jews.

Finally this week. I have decided to give a special award for hypocrisy. An ornate gilt framed mirror goes to Vladimir Putin for having the balls to say, straight-faced; ‘Israel’s annexation of the Golan Heights is unacceptable.’
