Here we are back again in the 1930s, back to the dirty tricks of antisemitism. Back to blood libels, untruths and inexplicable hate. Back to the ignorant spittle of the disaffected middle classes. This time it’s happening not so much in Germany, where antisemitism is a crime. Sadly it’s here in the un-United Kingdom that the people have become so possessed by Iranian, Qatari and leftist propaganda.
As we saw at the Church of Glastonbury, antisemitism has become the religion they never had … and yet, still crave. The crowd have re-discovered the warm and fuzzy fervour of belonging. So pahh to that Jew boy Jesus Christ, what did he ever do for them? Just party tricks. And anyway they now prefer water to wine. They dream of Greta and million dollar blockade busting yachts whilst cancelling all debate or reason. It’s hate not love that lights a bonfire in their head. Part of a community once again, they are no longer disaffected, or … in the words of Kier Starmer … living on “an island of strangers.” In this new life they have a cause, never mind that it’s as shameful as the creep of Nazism before WW2. Perhaps more so with the advantage of hindsight.
Hitler controlled his population with lies, lies that many swallowed whole, and willingly acted upon. We know what happened next, which makes it all the more shocking that today’s Sky News and the BBC (intentionally or not) are doing much the same job as an unhinged dictator. The Brits believe themselves to be kind liberals. Good people. After all they pet stray cats. If they vote at all it’s not with their pocket but with their conscience. They buy from Oxfam, sponsor an African orphan, and are eager to give up their seat to the elderly on a bus or a train. Thinking of becoming vegan … they will explain in depth that the lesser amongst us are wrong to eat honey stolen from the bees. And yet these inclusive, caring people are happy to signal their sense of superiority by waving flags of terror and chanting rhymes of death to Jews. Caught up in a wind that stinks, these put upon middle-class warriors, and their indoctrinated children, are no longer the phlegmatic Brits of old.
Whilst hating themselves, the government and their country, these crying babies have the nerve to believe that only their moral compass directs the real issues of the day. But unlike domestic policy, over which they, the people, do have some sway, the Palestinian cause is way beyond their control, and their grasp of its complexities is astonishingly weak.
And this is where things get dark and murky.
Do the Jew hating rabble also support the hundreds and thousands dying in Yemen ... do they demonstrate against the murderous Houthis? No they don’t. What about the Uyghurs in Chinese concentration camps ... errr, can’t even spell it. The Ukrainians ... what, still fighting? Yawn, no, soooo yesterday. Did they call out at Glastonbury for the starving and murdered of Sudan? Where? No … it’s only alleged Palestinian malnutrition that breaks their hearts. The Taliban? Who? Is anyone shouting for peace or human rights ... no, it’s not their problem … except of course in Gaza. North Korea? Never thought about it. But so what if they nuke Japan … too few Jews to care. Do they seek out Russians to intimidate and accuse of colonialism and genocide? Do they hold each private individual responsible for Putin? No they don’t. What about the Iranian IRGC ... sure to be headlining at a sold out music festival somewhere near by. Yay! big cheer from everyone, and they all win an Ayatollah poster taped to a stick.
The sole target for these new goose-stepping Nazis is the tiny country of Israel (code for Jews) and evil Zionists (Jews). Well, wrap their head and hide their face with a keffiyeh. One, two, three … let’s all quote that useful ignoramus strutting hate across the stage. Louder … louder … and all together now … “death, death to the IDF.”
No one at these events cares that Hamas still hold 51 hostages, who they could release right now and immediately end the war. No one cares that Hamas are killing their own, that Hamas are starving their own, that Hamas death squads are hiding amongst, and firing into, Palestinian crowds collecting aid. No one cares that not a single Palestinian had the humanity to offer their help rather than their celebration on October 7. That they gleefully filmed themselves as they danced and spat on dead, raped and mutilated young Israelis … the music loving Israeli peaceniks who had truly believed in living harmoniously beside a Palestinian State.
It’s clear that Britain is in trouble when a Vogue fashion editor can’t post beautiful photos of her Jewish wedding on Instagram without receiving streams of abuse. When idiots like MP Diane Abbot feel free to post a trending blood libel on X that swaps out the word Israel for ‘Jewish,’ renaming the IDF as “the Jewish Defence Force.” When each day brings news of antisemitic attacks, both physical and online, it’s time to officially admit that this country has developed a dangerous problem.
Change is coming and it’s unimaginable. A whisper that has increased in volume as Britain turns its face, detaching itself from the Jewish community it once supported. Now at every dinner party and social event, Jews are discussing if and when we should leave. What will be the tipping point, and where should we go next?
But on the other hand, I am many generations British … and so to every hater I say, F**k you.
Susan, an excellently compiled piece.
